A Curated Photography Exhibit inspired by the themes for FotoFest 2024
The way that images both reflect and inform our perception of the world, historical narratives, and our engaging in cultural discourse.
Where do you find identity? A place, a culture, faith, all the above? Where is identity affirmed? Where is stewardship honored? Where is connection nurtured?

Critical Geography: Identity, Stewardship, Connection - a curated photography exhibit inspired by the themes for FotoFest 2024 – the way that images both reflect and inform our perception of the world, historical narratives, and our engaging in cultural discourse.
Where do you find identity? A place, a culture, faith, all the above? Where is identity affirmed? Where is stewardship honored? Where is connection nurtured?
Artists are encouraged to use their imagination in interpreting these themes in relation to the show's title which was inspired by the following Bible passage:
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made… Romans 1:20
All artwork must contain the artist’s original photography in some form or fashion, which could include collage, image transfer, digital manipulation, etc. (NO video may be submitted). You may submit up to 5 images. A diptych or triptych is considered a single work. No nudity or graphic violence will be accepted. The curator group will approve images. We may have to reduce images accepted because of space availability. If you are unsure about the content of your work, email the curator group at paula_hammon@yahoo.com.
After final images have been approved, the finished piece(s) must be suitably framed or edge-finished, with a hanging wire on the back.
We will be submitting our exhibit for inclusion in the FotoFest Biennial 2024 Participating Spaces Biennial Guide. If you make a commitment by October 8, your name will be in that printed guide.
